Over 160 Public-Private Key Stakeholders gather this week in Cape Town for Africa PPP 2018

Cape Town, 22nd October 2018 – The 10th Africa Public Private Partnership Conference and Showcase, Africa PPP, is taking place at the Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, from 24 – 25 October 2018, starting with a pre-conference training on 23rd October 2018.

Running successfully for a decade, Africa PPP has become a key platform for Public-Private stakeholders to meet, discuss, debate and share Public Private Partnership Plan in the African continent.

Africa PPP 2018 theme is “Developing Africa’s Infrastructure by enabling investment in energy, transport and water partnerships”.

Over 160 high-level delegates and over 52 speakers confirmed their presence, including the following opening ceremony speakers:

  • Felipe Guinea, Executive Director, Almar Water Solutions
  • Shaheed Alli, Principal: Infrastructure, Private Sector and TMT Finance, Nedbank
  • Executive Mayor, Patricia de Lille, City of Cape Town
  • Chief Executive Officer of WESGRO, Tim Harris

The Africa PPP Conference will showcase over 70 PPP projects spanning across the African continent, presented by different PPP units from 12 African countries.

The pre-conference training focusing on “Project Preparation Skills Development for Bankable PPPs” is CPD certified and will be addressed by Norma Sephuma, PPP Consultant, Sheila Galloway, Group Chief Executive Officer, Utho Capital, Kantha Rattay, Legal Consultant, KR Consulting and Mari Bruwer, Founder, MCA Consulting.

The event, organised by AME Trade Ltd, is sponsored by Nedbank CIB, Almar Water Solutions, Allen & Overy and Kukuza, with the support of NEPAD group.
