Ahmed Abdel Razek is the Chairman of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) affiliated to Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry. He was assigned his current role as IDA Chairman in October 2016 to lead the institution’s overreaching objective of Supporting the creation and expansion of industrial projects in-line with the national plans for sustainable development, resource efficiency and high value-added industrial output.
Prior to this role he held a number of strategic business positions in a number of multinational companies around the world for about 35 years. He is also the Chairman of Industrial Lands Development and Infrastructure Fund and a Board Member of: i) Industrial Modernization Center (IMC); ii) Industrial and Mining Projects Council; iii) Arab Authority for Industrialization; iv) Nuclear Materials Authority; and v) Industry
and Trade Council. He graduated from Faculty of Engineering Cairo University in 1982 with a BA in Civil Engineering.
