2019 Theme:
“Shaping the future Through sustainable Local Content Policies”

H.E HON. JOHN PETER AMEWU
Minister of Energy,
Republic of Ghana
Ghana has been chosen to host the 3″ edition of Africa Oil and Gas Local Content Sustainability Conference (ALCSS 2019) from 9-10 October 2019 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra, Ghana. Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) is the hosting institution of the event with the support of the African Petroleum Producers Organisation (APPO).
Local content development policy has received much attention among the various oil and gas producing countries in Africa because it is understood to be a strategy that will enhance the contribution of the energy, oil and gas sector to the economic growth and welfare of the people. This is a major reason why the current government is vigorously implementing local content policy frameworks that focus on economic diversification for national industrialization and inclusive growth.
I, therefore, endorse the event and invite all the stakeholders in the oil and gas industry in Ghana, Africa and internationally to support this strategic conference through sponsorship, registration of delegates, speaking on any aspect of the theme or exhibit their products and services at the conference.
