Abidjan, November 2018 – The biennial event ECOMOF will take place 10 – 12 December 2018 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. This Second Edition of the ECOWAS Mining and Petroleum Forum & Exhibition is dedicated to the West Africa’s petroleum & mining developments focusing on investments strategies. The Conference will be attended by key stakeholders in West Africa’s Petroleum and Mining Industries, including the dignitaries H.E Alassane Ouattara, President Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, H.E Thierry Tanoh, Minister of Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energies of Cote d’Ivoire and H.E Jean Claude Kouassi, Minister of Mines & Geology, Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.

The first day of the conference will give insight into the key factors needed to increase foreign direct investment into West Africa’s mining & petroleum industries and will overview mining potential through diversification & exploration but also hydrocarbon potential along with future opportunities. The second day of the conference will review the strategies to financially support mining & petroleum operations, discuss local training initiatives to reconcile the needs of government, companies & locals and define an approach to optimize hydrocarbon & mining production through new technologies. ECOMOF is also a 3-day exhibition which will feature operators, services and solution providers from 15+ different countries.
