Biography

CEO, City Wastes Bioenergy Solutions (CWBS) Africa-Caribbean and a Director, CWBS Nigeria. Mr Hassan has been involved in business development, Renewable Energy/Environment, Investment Banking/Asset management and Energy Consulting. He started his career with New Nigeria Development Company Kaduna, an Investment Conglomerate, from where he joined Habib Nigeria Bank (HNB) Trustees and rose through the ranks to become Head of the Abuja Branch. He joined Cornerstone Trustees as Operations Manager and later as Head of Research. He was also with Oceanic Bank, as marketing/business development executive and subsequently Head of Research, Asset Management, and later joined First Inland Bank as Fund Manager.

He joined ZH-Energy, an energy/infrastructure consulting/logistic firm in 2009 as CEO, a position he held until November 2011 when he became Director of CWBS Nigeria. He is on the Board of Mufatech, ZH-Energy and is Consultant to Enterprise Brazil-Nigeria Company.

His interests include renewable energy and the environment, sustainable development and human development. Abdulkadir has delivered papers across different countries in Africa and is involved in clean energy advocacy in Africa.

He attended several training courses within Nigeria and beyond. He earned awards and commendations from HNB and Management Commendation and a special salary increment from Cornerstone Trustees. Abdulkadir obtained a B.Sc (Hons) and MBA from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and a Certificate from Nigeria French Language Village.
