Tim is the Director responsible for West Africa at africapractice. He moved to Lagos, Nigeria in February 2006 to establish africapractice’s West Africa operations and continues to be based in Nigeria with responsibility for driving the company’s growth in Nigeria and across the sub-region.
Tim joined africapractice in 2003 from the office of Barbara Roche MP and has 10 years’ experience advising international investors and indigenous African companies on their strategy and communications in the region. He specialises in communications within the oil and gas and general extractive industries sector.
In 2012 Tim launched the Stop the Theft campaign (www.stopthetheftng.com) through a UK registered not for profit foundation, with the objective of working with the government, private sector and civil society to end the scourge of oil theft in the Niger Delta, which causes significant environmental damage and annual economic losses of over US$7 billion to Nigeria. He has a B.Soc.Sci (Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Manchester.
