On behalf of AME Trade Ltd, I would like to welcome all exhibitors and visitors to the fourth edition of the Mozambique International Building, Construction and Interiors Exhibition, MOZAMBUILD 2017.
Inaugurated in 2012, the MOZAMBUILD aimed to bring an international trade fair focused on the Construction sector in Mozambique, in order to raise awareness of new construction technologies, materials and equipment, while at the same time creating a dynamic platform where industry members could meet and network amongst each other to develop and strengthen business partnerships.
The 2017 edition of the Mozambuild was inaugurated with speched from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, represented by Dr. Lembrança Mechisso, the Mozambican Federation of Contractors, represented by Mr. Manuel Pereira, and the High Commission of India to Mozambique, represented by His Excellency the High Commissioner Mr. Rudra Gaurav Shresth.
In 2016, the Mozambican economic growth halved by only reaching 3.3%, but despite this slowdown in growth and a global recession, the national construction industry has showcased enormous resilience, with growth forecasted by 5.7% in 2017 and 6.5% over the next 5 years. MOZAMBUILD is evidence of this resilience with over 50 companies exhibiting, representing national and international companies active in the sector.
We would like to thank our partners FME, AME Mozambique, CTA, ASSOCHAM and CCIABM. in assisting us in the organization and promotion of the event.
MOZAMBUILD is the leading and most well established, construction, building and interiors trade event in Mozambique.
Previous editions have featured over 80 exhibitors from 15 countries. The event will feature a three day trade exhibition, a series of technical and corporate workshops and a specially targeted B2B meetings. All of the aforementioned will be enhanced by a targeted visitor promotion campaign, aimed at maximising the amount of qualified industry visitors attending the event.
