Mr. Santi started working in Africa twenty-two years ago and, as a first-generation entrepreneur, he did the start-up of fifteen companies in the continent with own capital. He has developed projects involving numerous companies, mainly SMEs, foreign corporates and multinationals.
Over the past five years, with the ever-growing interest in Oil & Gas, he has developed partnerships and provided local services through Leonardo Group to major operators and suppliers of the sector (Reag-Eni, Total, Aker Solution, Prysmian, CGG) in Mozambique, Angola, South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana.
Simone Santi is President of Mozambique-Italy Business Council (CCMI), Vice-president for international affairs at CTA, Italian representative for the main business confederations of Portuguese-speaking countries (CE-CPLP and CE-PALOP), and former Honorary Consul of Mozambique in Milan (2008-2015).
Santi is also founder of Colors – a project that promotes social integration through basketball, and Afrilanthropy – a platform connecting African social businesses with impact investing opportunities.
