The 2nd edition of Suriname International Mining, Energy & Petroleum Conference & Exhibition brought together over 230 registered participants from 11 countries, including participants from: Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Canada, Venezuela, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States of America, Ghana, Guyana, Curaçao and Saint Barthélemy.
Carrying on from the 2014 edition, SURIMEP 2017 addresses the economic development in the country. This year’s theme was “Optimizing resource industry linkages to catalyse Suriname’s economic development”. Optimizing resource industry linkages becomes essential in developing the supporting industries of the sector and creating infrastructure, ensuring the creation of a resource industry that is more robust and that contributes to sustainable economic development of the country. The event is acting as the optimal platform for public and private stakeholders to congregate to meet new prospective business partners and do business in Suriname.

We are delighted to announce the dates for the 2nd edition of SURIMEP 2017, which will be held on 1 – 3 November 2017. The event is organised by AME Trade Ltd.
SURIMEP 2017 will take place at the Chamber of Commerce of Paramaribo, Suriname and will feature three days of conference sessions, pre-event training, post event touristic and industry tours, as well as a packed social program.

More than 350 delegates, 25 sponsors and 45 exhibitors attended the Conference and Exhibition from 24 countries participated in the inaugural event. The event was a regional event attracting delegations from French Guyana, Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago.
