Committed to affecting sustainable change for the mining and energy sectors in Zambia, ZIMEC is back for its 8th edition showcasing the dynamism and progress of the extractive industry and serving the region’s mining and energy communities with an authoritative and lucrative platform to brand, learn and synergise with the promulgators of the industry.
With the current theme “Invest in Zambia – Generating Value, Diversity and Growth Through Collaboration” in mind, the 8th Zambia International Mining & Energy Conference & Exhibition is taking place in Lusaka, Zambia from 21-22 June 2018.
Carrying on from the 2017 edition, ZIMEC 2018 addresses the growth and diversification of the mining & energy sectors in the country. This year’s theme was “Invest in Zambia – Generating Value, Diversity and Growth Through Collaboration”. Optimizing resource industry linkages becomes essential in developing the supporting industries of the sector and creating infrastructure, ensuring the creation of a resource industry that is more robust and that contributes to sustainable economic development of the country. The event is acting as the optimal platform for public and private stakeholders to congregate to meet new prospective business partners and do business in Zambia.
Our special thank you to Brig. Gen. Emelda Chola, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Hon. Richard Musukwa MP, Minister of Mines and Minerals Development for attending the event. We’d also like to thank supporting bodies: Ministries of Mines and Energy and sponsors, Mopani Copper Mines, First Quantum Minerals Ltd., Barrick Gold, Concrete Canvas, ABB, Copperbelt Energy Corporation, Ernst & Young for their continued support. Finally, we would like to thank all speakers and delegates for ensuring the success of the event.
We hope you will be able to join us at ZIMEC 2019.
