President, Small Scale Miners Association of Zambia


Mr Simon Njovu was born 1981. In 2000 he went to study Personnel Management at Copperbelt University and later he studied Human Resources Management (DHRM) at the same institution. Simon was
later selected to participate in the formation of the Mimbula Fitula Mineral Organisation Chart in Chingola. In 2009 he begun sitting on different boards of organisations including Tenke Fungulume mining in Congo.

He is also involved in the Buying and Selling of Gold, Copper, Emerald and Cobalt on behalf of Small Scale Miners in Zambia. In 2011 Simon was selected as the Small Scale Miners Association of Zambia President, to speak on behalf of communities that surround mines in Zambia. He is also a Mineral Analyst and engages in Human Development Programs with the Government of Zambia. Simon is currently studying) Natural Resources in Sustainable Development with Colombia University (NRSD).
