IMC 2025, the second edition of the Morocco Mining Conference & Exhibition, will take place from 24 – 26 November 2025 in the vibrant city of Marrakech.
Organised by the Federation of Mineral Industry of Morocco (FDIM) and AME Trade Ltd, and supported by the Ministry of Energy Transition & Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and AMDIE, IMC 2025 will feature two days of high-level conference sessions, technical workshops, a trade exhibition, mine site visits and exclusive touristic excursions.
The inaugural IMC 2024 edition welcomed official delegations from Benin, Gabon, Madagascar, Mauritania, Niger, and Senegal. Sponsors included major investors such as OCP, ONHYM, Managem, Aya Gold and Silver, Fortescue, Liebherr, COBCO, JESA and CMT. Over 800 delegates from more than 20 countries participated, and 50 exhibitors showcased their offerings. In 2025, organisers anticipate participation will double.
Focus of IMC 2025
The Congress will spotlight Africa’s ability to add value to its natural resources through industrial integration and cooperation. It will promote:
- Synergies between African nations to enhance local capacity
- Securing supply chains for strategic minerals such as cobalt, manganese, copper, and phosphate
- Greater sector organisation and competitiveness
Why Morocco?
Morocco is well-positioned not only due to its resource base, but also because of its regulatory stability, institutional capacity, and commitment to sustainability.
The Kingdom offers a unique strategic position connecting Africa, Europe, the Atlantic Basin, and other global markets, making it a natural hub for investment and cooperation.
Thanks to recent reforms and favourable mining legislation, Fraser Institute (Canada) ranked Morocco in May 2024 as the most attractive mining destination in Africa and 8th globally for multinational mining companies.
Outcomes and Objectives
IMC 2025 will address key priorities emerging from the previous edition:
- Boosting competitiveness with tailored tax incentives
- Simplifying administrative procedures for land access
- Improving financing access for mining SMEs
- Strengthening geological infrastructure and data systems
- Promoting innovation through research support
- Investing in skills development across all levels
Morocco’s proactive reforms, strategic infrastructure and investment-attractive policies position it as the ideal host country to lead mining development conversations in Africa and globally.
