ZIMEC 2026 to Unlock Investment Across Zambia’s Mining and Energy Sectors

ZIMEC 2026 to Unlock Investment Across Zambia’s Mining and Energy Sectors

The 13th edition of the Zambia International Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition will take place from 25–26 March 2026 at the Garden Court Hotel, bringing together government leaders, mining companies, investors and energy stakeholders to discuss investment opportunities and the future of Zambia’s mining and energy sectors.

Organised by AME Trade Ltd with the support of the Ministries of Mines & Minerals Development and Energy and leading industry partners, ZIMEC has established itself as Zambia’s leading mining and energy investment platform. The event serves as a key forum for dialogue on policy, investment and strategic partnerships in one of Africa’s most important copper-producing countries.

Zambia’s mining industry has attracted more than US$10 billion in investment over the past four years, driven by pro-mining reforms, predictable policies and a stable fiscal framework. With the country targeting 3 million tonnes of annual copper production, ZIMEC 2026 will explore the partnerships and investments needed to support this ambitious growth trajectory.

High-Level Government and Industry Participation

ZIMEC 2026 will feature participation from senior policymakers and industry leaders shaping the mining and energy landscape in Zambia and across the region.

Confirmed keynote speakers include:

  • Hon. Paul C. Kabuswe, Minister of Mines and Minerals Development, Zambia
  • Hon. Makozo Chikote, Minister of Energy, Zambia
  • Geert Klok, Vice President, Mining Industry Association of Southern Africa
  • Albert Halwampa, Director General, Zambia Development Agency

  • Godwin Beene, Zambia Country Manager, First Quantum Minerals

Their participation reflects the event’s role as a regional platform for policy dialogue, investment discussions and cross-border collaboration.
